Board

Justine Murchison (Chair, Remuera)

Justine is a seasoned Change Manager, experienced in driving large-scale transformation across industries including telco, aviation, not-for-profit, FMCG, and now Bupa NZ.
Her journey in golf began close to home—surrounded by a family of golfers, it was only natural for her to evolve from caddy to player. Today, she’s an 18-hole member at Remuera Golf Club, enjoying weekend and twilight rounds, supporting her husband’s Pennants team, and cheering on the Betty Fasen and women’s pennants players whenever she can.

As Chair, Justine brings strong strategic thinking, curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement. Her focus is on fostering innovation, balancing tradition with a future-fit mindset, and championing participation and performance across Auckland.

James Gardiner (Titirangi)

James has been an active sportsperson throughout his life, discovering golf at age 20 and quickly embracing the game as a source of personal growth, stress relief, and connection. Over the years, he has benefited from the generosity and mentorship of the golfing community and has proudly represented two District Associations. James has played three Interprovincial Tournaments for Tasman and nine Freyberg Masters for Auckland, contributing to two championship-winning Freyberg Masters teams.

Professionally, James brings significant governance and committee leadership experience through his career as a specialist doctor.
