Justine Murchison (Chair, Remuera)

Justine is a seasoned Change Manager, experienced in driving large-scale transformation across industries including telco, aviation, not-for-profit, FMCG, and now Bupa NZ.
Her journey in golf began close to home—surrounded by a family of golfers, it was only natural for her to evolve from caddy to player. Today, she’s an 18-hole member at Remuera Golf Club, enjoying weekend and twilight rounds, supporting her husband’s Pennants team, and cheering on the Betty Fasen and women’s pennants players whenever she can.

As Chair, Justine brings strong strategic thinking, curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement. Her focus is on fostering innovation, balancing tradition with a future-fit mindset, and championing participation and performance across Auckland.

Justine is committed to building a warm, welcoming golf culture—one where new golfers feel embraced and where people come first. She believes golf is where new friendships are formed, and she lives by the best advice she ever received:
“No one is analysing your swing, so relax and have fun.”

Her legacy? Growing the game by uplifting communities who are currently under-represented. And her ideal day off? Discovering a new golf course with family and friends.

Kim Perry (Maungakiekie)

As an active member of Auckland’s golf community, Kim Perry has long championed the value of participation, accessibility, and connection in the sport. Her involvement in golf goes beyond playing, Kim is passionate about fostering an inclusive environment that encourages women of all ages and backgrounds to discover confidence and camaraderie on the course.

Kim Perry’s golfing journey began 10 years ago at Onewhero Golf Club, where she first picked up the game and quickly discovered a deep passion for both the sport and the community surrounding it. After her first year she joined Maungakiekie Golf Club, seeking not only to develop her skills but also to contribute meaningfully to club life and the advancement of women in golf. From the outset, Kim became an active and influential presence within Maungakiekie and She now serves as Club Captain of the Maungakiekie Board.

Her leadership goes well beyond her home club. Kim has served as both Vice President and President of Auckland Women’s Golf, advocating for pathways that empower women and girls to participate, compete, and lead. Her work has helped strengthen opportunities for women across the region and build a more visible and connected women’s golfing community.

She continues as an active member of the Auckland Golf Board, contributing her experience, strategic insight, and strong advocacy for female participation and representation at all levels of the game.

Ella Zhang (Independant)

Ella joined the Board in November 2024, bringing extensive experience in golf tourism and events, along with deep knowledge across both the public and private sectors to support Auckland Golf’s sponsorship work.

Her love for golf began in childhood, watching her dad play while networking with clients — a big part of business culture in Asia. She later led destination marketing for Queenstown across Asia Pacific, arguably one of the world’s best golf destinations, working closely with golf courses, media, and visitors from around the globe.

Ella is a strong advocate for golf for all ages and is passionate about creating better experiences for learners, women, and international golf visitors to Aotearoa. She admits she’s taken more golf lessons — and collected more colourful golf outfits — than she probably needs.

She’s committed to playing more golf and continuing to champion the great work of Auckland Golf, and golf as a sport that brings people together
